What are the opening hours of Bewl Water?

During the high season (March - October), gates open at 8am and close 30 minutes before dusk.
Bewl Water is open 7 days a week.

Can I swim at Bewl Water?

Swimming in the reservoir is strictly prohibited at all times.

Can I use a BBQ on site?

Barbeques are not permitted anywhere on our grounds. Food is available from the Waterfront Café or the Boathouse Bistro.

Is there disabled parking?

There is disabled parking available just outside of the Waterfront Café.

Is the site wheelchair-accessible?

The main visitor area, The Waterfront Café and The Boat House Bistro are all accessible to wheelchairs. Sections of path extending from the main car park to both Seven Pound Creek Jetty and to Heatherells Jetty are suitable for wheelchairs with wide tyres.

Can I walk my dog at Bewl Water?

Dogs are allowed on site but they must be kept under control at all times. No dogs (with the exception of guide dogs) are allowed inside The Waterfront Café or Boathouse Bistro. Although they are allowed on the patio seating area just outside the Café.

Can I bring my own boat?

Day passes for kayaks, canoes, dinghies and windsurfing boards can be purchased on the day in the Fishing Shop. Sailing boats require a membership which can also be purchased in the Fishing Shop or over the phone.
